We are Cargodian

Trustnet.Trade by Cargodian is a product of Cargodian GmbH. Cargodian GmbH was founded in 2021 by Peter Selmayr and Klaus Burkart. The story goes that Klaus once called Peter, as he wanted to win Peter for a vacancy at the company where Klaus was Chief Operations Officer at the time. After Peter explained Klaus his business idea for Cargodian, and they both share the same thinking „that can be done better“, it happened the other way: Klaus joined Peter to start Cargodian.

Cargodian focuses on business to business (B2B) services and currently serve customers in 46 countries and offers 29 payment currencies. Our strength is innovative, digital and disruptive products with added value especially for small and medium sized entities.

Our solutions are “digital-native”, proprietary, fully serverless and in the cloud. In April 2022 Cargodian has been awarded as „Start-up with a particularly future-proof, innovative business-model in the field of digitization“ by the Federal State of Bavaria.

The Founders

Peter Selmayr | Founder & CEO

Peter holds a master's degree in computer science at the Technical University of Munich. Founded his first successful software development company while still a student. After 10 years in consulting, especially in billing and payment systems for large corporations, he founded tolltickets GmbH at the end of 2007. After reaching an annual turnover of more than EUR 40 million and more than 30 employees, he sold the companny successfully to Kapsch TrafficCom AG at the end of 2020.

Klaus Burkart | Co-Founder & COO

Klaus (Forwarding Merchant, Bachelor Professional of Transport and Logistics Management). 8 years managing director within DKV Mobility Services Holding (www.dkv-euroservice.com), 5 years COO of Eurowag (www.eurowag.com). Professional career around transport, mobility and trade, in particular international business development and rapid scaling and exponential growth of businesses in Europe and Asia. Klaus is co-founder and investor and full-time devoted to Cargodian.
